Question:
Why does my invoice show the status ‘Expired’ and why am I unable to edit it?
Possible Reason:
The Approval Workflow function is enabled, and the document has exceeded the expiry period set in the system settings.
Solution:
You cannot edit a document once it is marked as Expired. You will need to delete and re-create the document.
To extend the expiry period for unapproved documents, go to Account Book icon (1) > Settings (2)> General (3) > Approval Workflow(4).
Under the setting “Unapproved documents will be automatically marked as expired after ___ day(s) (Based on modified date)”, you can increase the number of days to allow longer days for expiry. Then click Save to apply the changes.
Note: This change will apply only to new documents or existing document after being edited.
